Timing a purchase can affect both selection and cost. Experienced cultivators usually buy marijuana seeds in late winter or early spring, when retailers restock after the holiday period and run seasonal promotions ahead of the outdoor growing window. Popular strains sell out quickly once demand peaks, so ordering early secures preferred genetics. Off-season purchases, by contrast, may offer discounts on remaining inventory from the previous year.
