Flowering time is one of the most practical differences between a landrace and a cross. Where a pure indica may finish in seven weeks, many indica hybrid seeds produce plants that need eight to ten weeks because of the sativa genes in their background. This extra time can affect outdoor harvest planning in colder regions. Indoor growers usually treat it as a minor trade-off for improved yield and resin production.
